Dept. of HistopathologyHead of Department:Dr. A.M.Pradhan The pathology department was started way back in 1965, being named as Raja Bahadur Shivlal Motilal Laboratory. A single pathologist was in charge of the entire laboratory. Since 1983 department of hematology and department of histopathology was created. since then Dr. Avinash M.Pradhan is in charge of Histopathology Department. We operate with latest updated equipments. The state of the art equipments were procured through USAID and ASHA (American Schools and Hospitals Abroad). Use of cryostat was also started alongwith these (year 1999). In year 2004, we introduced nephropathology as subspecialty and dedicated nephropathologist was working on it. In year 2005, we intorduced Immunohistochemistry using most of the antibodies. Similarly Immunofloresence using immunoflorence antibodies was intoduced for renal pathology and dermatopathology.
